Hi Ladies!
If you read yesterdays post you'll know that I got a few MUA goodies and today I'm going to review one of the Lip Booms in the shade O.M.G
The Lip Booms were created with X-Factors Alexandra Burke, there's 8 shades in total and the names are all Alexandra's little sayings like "OK.com" and "Bring it".
Update!
Just to let you know the little pot is not a balm and is actually not supposed to come off the end it's just there to show the colour.
The MUA Lip Booms are a 4 in 1 lip product with a lipstick on one end and a highlighting lipgloss on the other end. MUA say they will "Give your lips some Boom, create fuller curvaceous lips and give a dramatic illusion of volume". It's a pretty big, chunky product but still small enough to pop in your handbag and with it being 4 in 1 you don't really need anything else.
The lipstick is a matte, bright peachy/coral colour and it smells really nice, it's got a kind of toffee scent to it which some people will like but some might find it a bit sickly, I didn't mind it.
The highlighting lip gloss is a gorgeous bright coral colour with gold glitter and has the same toffee scent to it, it comes with a doe foot applicator which I prefer to a brush when I'm applying lipgloss.
The 4 different looks that you can achieve with the Lip Booms are:
- Lipstick alone for a matte look.
- Lipstick with highlighter applied just to the centre of your lips to create a full volume illusion.
- Lipstick with highlighter all over for a super glossy look.
- Highlighter alone for a sheer pearl finish.
I found the lipstick alone to be a little drying on my lips but nothing major and I do have quite dry lips anyway. I thought putting the gloss just on the centre of my lips did give the illusion of fuller lips and I liked that even though the lipgloss has got glitter in it doesn't feel gritty, I liked to look of the gloss on it's own too.
Overall I really liked the Lip Boom in O.M.G and I think it's great to pop in your handbag for a night out instead of separate lipsticks and lipgloss and at £3 each or 2 for £4 which is the offer running on the MUA website at the moment you can't go wrong!
What do you think about products that are several things in one? Do you like them or do you prefer to use seperate products?
Let me know!
