Avene Cleanance K Review!

Hi Ladies!

If you read my post around a month ago about receiving some free samples from Avene then you'll know that I got sent the Cleanance Gel Cleanser and the Cleanance K Lotion, If you missed the post I'm referring to and would like to read it click here

Today I'm going to be reviewing the Cleanance K lotion, I was sent a 5ml sample and I've been using it in the evening everyday for about 5 weeks now so it lasts for ages, I think Avene sending out such generous samples is a really great idea as it allows you to really try out the products before you buy them.

Avene is a french skincare company who's products contain Avene Thermal Spring Water which is clinically proven to soothe sensitive skin. Although the products are perfect for sensitive skin you don't have to have sensitive skin to use them as they produce products for all skin types, my skin is oily and prone to breakouts and the Cleanance K is for oily, blemish prone skin so it's perfect for me.

Here's how Avene describe Cleanance K lotion
"helps reduce spots, blackheads and blemishes. Based on exfoliating AHAs (glycolic acid and lactic acid) and BHAs (salicylic acid), Cleanance K has a peeling effect on the surface of the skin. It cleanses the pores in depth thereby encouraging the elimination of spots, blackheads and blemishes. It contains a concentrated extract of Cucurbita to regulate oil secretion. An original system of oil-absorbing microcapsules keeps the skin matt all day long and guarantees excellent makeup hold."

You can use this product in the morning and/or evening after cleansing and toning, I chose to use it in the evening as I was a little unsure whether it was going to make my skin a bit flaky like some similar products that I've used previously but it didn't have that effect at all. I didn't use it all over my face just on my t-zone where I'm most prone to breakouts and blackheads.

I didn't notice that it made much of a difference to my blackheads or to the amount of oil my skin produces but I did notice that it faded the marks left by previous breakouts really quickly and it seemed to help clear up existing breakouts quicker too which I was really pleased with.

I really like this product and I think I would buy this again, the full size version is 40ml which I would imagine would last me absolutely ages going by how long 5ml lasted. You can buy Cleanance K from Boots for £10.50 here.

Overall I think Avene is a great skincare line especially for people with blemish prone sensitive skin, I personally don't have sensitive skin but even I find some anti-blemish products harsh. So if you're prone to breakouts and your skin is on the sensitive side then I definitely recommend giving the Avene Cleanance range a try.

Has anyone else tried Avene Cleanance K? Have you filled in the skin diagnosis on the Avene website to get your free samples? If so what did you get and did you like it?

Let me know!
