Avene Free Samples!

A few weeks ago I did a post about Avene skincare products, if you didn't see it click here to read it.
I originally thought that Avene only did products for dry/sensitive skin but on further investigation on the Avene website I realised they had skincare products for all skin types and I was kindly informed by Lauren from by Lauren Jane that if I filled in the Skin Diagnosis section they would send me some free samples to try, so that's what I did!

I have oily skin and at the time of filling in the Skin Diagnosis I was experiencing some major hormonal breakouts which have actually calmed down a lot now.

The products I received were the Cleanance  Gel and Cleanance K.

The Cleanance Gel is a soapless cleanser for oily, blemish prone skin. It's described as an "ultra mild cleansing gel for blemish prone skin. Helps purify the skin and regulate oil secretion" which sounds perfect for me and I can't wait to use it! The directions for use are "apply to damp face, lather then rinse thoroughly and pat dry" The sample is 25ml so you get a good amount of product to try so that you can really decide if it's right for your skin or not before you buy it. You can buy this cleanser from Boots for £8.25 for 200ml which I don't think is a bad price at all.

Cleanance K is a lotion that you apply in the morning or the evening after cleansing and toning, this is how it's described " helps reduce spots, blackheads and blemishes.Based on exfoliating AHAs (glycolic acid and lactic acid) and BHAs (salicylic acid) it has a peeling effect on the surface of the skin. It cleanses the pores in depth thereby encouraging the elimination of spots, blackheads and blemishes. It contains a concentrated extract of Cucurbita to regulate oil secretion. An original system of oil-absorbing microcapsules keeps the skin matt all day long and guarantees excellent makeup hold."
I'm really excited to try this aswell and see if it does make my skin less oily, this sample is 5ml which is also a good size, for the full size which is 40ml it's £10.50.

I'm really impressed with Avene so far as not many skincare ranges will send you such good size samples without you buying something first. I'll review these products after I've used them up so that I can give them a fair trial. If you would like to fill in a Skin Diagnosis on the Avene website and get some samples for yourself click here, unfortunately they only ship to the UK at the moment.
