Unfortunately this lipstick collection doesn't belong to me :( It belongs to my gorgeous little sister Lucy but seeing as she doesn't have a blog of her own she kindly let me take photos and swatch these beauties so I could share them on my blog.

So for those of you that don't know (I didn't know this) Mac lipsticks come in 9 different finishes.
Matte finish which is the colour without any shimmer or sheen.
Frost finish which is exactly what you think it would be...frosty lol or glimmery, you know what I mean.
Satin finish which has a gorgeous sheen when the light catches it.
Amplified Cremesheen which are really bright pigmented lipsticks with a beautiful sheen.
Lustre finish which has a kind of wet look to it.
Glaze finish which is very sheer and shiny.
Cremesheen finish which is a very creamy formulation with a lovely sheen.
Amplified finish which is similar to amplified creme but without the sheen, just a really bright colour.
And Dazzle finish which has a beautiful glittery, shimmer to it.
Ok now on to the lipsticks!
From left to right
First up is Playtime which is a cremesheen lipstick and it's a gorgeous creamy violet shade from the Quite Cute Collection. I think this is a great colour for spring and because it's a cremesheen it is quite sheer so it doesn't look really purple on your lips which could be a bit scary looking.
Next up is Morange which has an amplified creme finish, this is a vibrant medium orange shade with quite an opaque finish and it looks great with a tan, perfect for summer.
Then we have Watch Me Simmer from the Shop Mac Collection, this is described as a bright pink-orange shade. It's an amplified creme formula and I think this is a gorgeous colour that would suit most skin tones.
Then we have the amazing Russian Red which has a matte finish and looks great worn with minimal eye makeup so that the lips are the focal point of your face.
Next up is Viva Glam Nicki, the Viva Glam lipsticks are great because all the proceeds of the sale of these lipsticks goes to a HIV and Aids charity. It has a satin finish and is described as a bright yellow pink, I love this colour because it can look great for everyday wear or if you're going out.
Last but not least is Impassioned, this is an amplified finish so it's quite a bright fuchsia and it's another great colour for summer.
I definately need to start a Mac lipstick collection of my own because I was drooling over these 6 shades and there are so many more to choose from!
What's your favourite Mac lipstick?
