Concealer Review!

A few weeks ago in my Makeup Haul I got two new concealers to try, I got the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer and the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer. The reason I chose both of these is because I'm on the lookout for my perfect concealer and I'd heard lots of good things about both of these so I thought I'd give them a try!

I bought the Collection 2000 concealer mainly to use to conceal blemishes as I like to use a highlighting concealer under my eyes so I got this in the shade 02 Light which is the second lightest shade and some days when I wear this I think I should have maybe got the lightest one because my skin is quite fair. I really like the consistency of this, it's pretty thick and it covers blemishes and redness really well.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection

My only grumble with this concealer and to be fair this would probably happen with any concealer is that just lately for whatever reason I've had some days where my skin has been excessively oily, I have oily skin but I mean crazy oily! On these days I feel like the oil lifts the concealer off my skin and it looks a bit like it's sliding down my face but like I said that would probably happen with any concealer and for £4.99 I don't really think you can go too far wrong.

I got the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in the shade 01 Ivory which is the lightest shade as I like my under eye area to be very light and bright. I'm quite undecided about this concealer as when I swatched the tester in the shop it looked really light in colour but when I used mine it didn't look as light and I had to keep checking that I had picked up the right shade. Also in the last few months concealer has started creasing really badly in my under eye area, something that has never been a problem for me before and it looks awful! I've had to stop using an eye cream in the morning as I've found that makes it worse but I always used an eye cream before and it never happened so I don't know why it's started now :(

Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch
The consistency of this concealer seemed really dry to me and it sometimes made my under eye area look a bit dry and crusty which only added to the awful creasing effect and it doesn't fully conceal my dark circles. Overall I don't think this concealer is for me however I will use it until it runs out and then I'll try something else. For £6.99 I think the price is quite reasonable if you can get on with this product which I'm sure a lot of people can.

So to sum it all up I don't think I've found my perfect concealer yet, I'll use these two up and in the mean time I'll continue my search. Which concealers do you love? Can anyone recommend me a good one?, especially an under eye concealer, leave me a comment and let me know! :)
