Lipstick Haul and Review!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter and long weekend!

Over the weekend I nipped in to Boots and noticed that they still had their 3 for 2 offer on, so I thought it'd be rude not to buy anything! I got three lipsticks, one Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter and two L'Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipsticks.

The shades I chose in the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse were 301 Dating Coral and 07 Cheeky Magenta and in the Revlon Lip Butter I got 035 Candy Apple. Now I am really lucky that I got the L'Oreal ones because my local Boots looked like a bunch of wild monkeys had been let loose on the makeup section, there was literally lipstick everywhere! It looked like people had just been smearing it on to any surface that was clean, forget swatching on your hands people were swatching the entire shop! The L'Oreal Rouge Caresse section was more or less empty except for a few lipsticks that looked like they had been used to draw on the walls (god knows where the testers had gone) but out of the corner of my eye I spied Dating Coral and Cheeky Magenta, the exact two that I was looking for, they'd been put in the wrong section so no-one had noticed them except me! Yay!

Dating Coral

The L'Oreal Rouge Caresse lipsticks are really creamy and moisturising, they feel lovely on your lips, very similar to a lip balm but the colour pay off is good! As you can see on my lips Dating Coral is a gorgeous subtle coral colour that is great for everyday wear and I absolutely love it! The colour doesn't last very long on me, about and hour or two but I don't really mind that to be honest because I loved them so much!

Cheeky Magenta

I absolutely LOVE this colour! I don't even think my camera does it justice because it's brighter than this in real life. I really love the packaging of these lipsticks, it's very glam and sophisticated, overall I give the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipsticks a big thumbs up and I'll definately be buying more, I've got my eye on Lovely Rose and Aphrodite Scarlet next!

Candy Apple

Last but not least is the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Candy Apple, this is a gorgeous bright red and again my camera just doesn't do it justice. Like the L'Oreal lipsticks it's very creamy but more pigmented than them I think. This lasts slightly longer on my lips than the L'Oreal ones but feels equally lovely. I already own a Lip Butter in the shade Creme Brulee which I wasn't very impressed with purely because the shade was too light for me but I love Candy Apple.

Overall I'm thrilled with my new lipsticks and I love them all but I think I love the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse just that little bit more. What do you think? Have any of you tried these lipsticks yet? Let me know your thoughts because I love hearing from you! :)
