Ok So I know I'm mega late jumping on the Urban Decay Naked palette band wagon but I do have a reason for this. I was always really into makeup, being a beauty therapist it kind of goes with the job but when I got pregnant with my son and I got more tired and we had to spend all our money on a new house and baby things makeup kind of started to take a back seat. I always swore I wouldn't become one of those women who "let themselves go" when they had children but when my son was born I was so exhausted and consumed with looking after him that to be honest the last thing on my mind was makeup, I still wore it but it became more of a chore to do rather than enjoying putting it on like I used to. Anyway as my son has got older (he's 19 months now) I started to feel like I wanted to get back to the old me again because I just felt frumpy and boring and just not me, so totally by accident I was doing some research on a beauty treatment for work and I stumbled upon one of the 'Beauty Gurus' on Youtube
Leighannsays she is so funny and pretty and I just loved watching her videos on makeup and hauls, after watching a few I became totally addicted and my love for makeup returned with a vengeance! That was in january of this year so that's why I'm only just discovering the amazing Naked palette (sorry for the long explanation).
For anyone that doesn't know about this palette it's by Urban Decay and it has been hugely successful, so much so that they recently bought out a Naked 2 palette which I looked at getting but I think I like the colours in this palette better. What do you think? If you've seen the Naked 2 palette or you have it, which one do you like best?
It consists of twelve neutral eyeshadows ranging from pale beige right through to a really dark grey and they're all super pigmented. It also comes with a really good quality eyeshadow brush rather than one of those crappy sponge applicators that you usually get with this kind of product.

I really like this palette but at £36 it's pretty pricey so I looked around and found what I think is not a bad alternative. I found the
Sleek i-Divine eyeshadow palette in Storm. You get twelve eyeshadows just like the Naked palette and they're all very pigmented except for two of the matte colours which don't seem to be as pigmented as the shimmery ones but for £6.49 you can't complain.
The colours are slightly different to the Naked palette but I personally like the range of colours as it gives you more options, they range from pale shimmery creams and golds to shimmery pinks, right through to deep green, browns, navy, grey and black.

I love both of these palettes but if your on a budget and you want a bit more variety in your palette I'd definately recommend the Sleek one. Has anyone else got any Sleek makeup? What do you think of it? I'd love to hear from you :) xxx
