No7 Eye Base - Eye Primer

Hi Lovelies, So this morning I was so annoyed because My Eyeliner kept smearing & looking vile so after a few tips off Kiamakemeup on Twitter this Morning I went & got me The No7 Stay Perfect Eye Base.

So 1st of all I applied My Foundation then applied the Eye Base ontop all over my eye...

As You Can see its just a Natural Shimmery Base with a creamy Texture.

Next I applied My Eyeshadow, Eyeliner & Mascara...

So Far so good, My eyes haven't Smudged yet and the Eye Base has made My eyeshadow stand out more too.

Check back to my blog tomorrow morning for an update on this Product as i'm going to take a few pictures of my eyes after 1 hour & after 6 hours to see if the results are still there.

Thanks For reading everyone. Do You have a favourite Eye Primer/Base.

Easy Peasy Hairpins

Today's project is super, duper easy and fun.  We're going to make/embellish some hairpins.

This is a great project to do with younger people as well because it's really easy.  (While my son won't be wearing one, he was really excited to help make them.)  The reason for this project is that I've been wanting to wearing my hair (not my makeup) like these pictures I found on Pinterest.

Then I saw these clips at Anthropologie and while I was tempted to get some, I figured making them would be inexpensive and easy.

So I purchased some hairpins and clips at Hobby Lobby and I also stopped at an antique shop and picked up some vintage earrings.  I invited my crafty friend over and we worked together.  It's a good project to do with a friend, because there are two hairpins to make from each earring set - one for each person.

After the supplies were assembled we broke out the secret weapon - Aleene's SUPER Gel Adhesive.  I love this glue.  It holds so well - even metal to metal.  What I like about it the most is that it has a little brush in it just like nail polish.  (Let's just say I've had some bad encounters with little tubes of super glue and there's still evidence on my kitchen table.)  This stuff is way easier to use because of the brush.

I used some wire cutters to snap off the back of the earrings.

We brushed on some adhesive and added the earrings.

You only have to hold the pin to the earring for a minute or two until it's really on there and dry.

This clip was originally blank on top, but I happened to have little leaf beads that fit right in it, so I glued them on.

Buttons also work well for this project.  You just have to use ones that don't have a loop on the back.  I had my assistant select some for me.

I am excited to wear them now.  The redish-brown one looked so cute in my friend's blonde hair.

It's a great five minute project with fun results.

Thanks for stopping by.

A Valentines Makeup Look ♥

Good Evening Lovelies.
Tonight I thought i'd do a Valentines Look, As Valentines is only 2 weeks away. ♥

The Look ♥

A Simple Winged eyeliner with a Bright Lip.

For this look I used:

Face- 17 Photo Flawless Skin Primer, Avon Magix Cashmere Foundation Medium Beige, Natural Collection Loose Powder in Warm Translucent & Maybelline Mousse Blush in 04 Mauve.

Eyes: Clinique Colour surge eye shadow quad in 02 Tickled Peach, Bourjois Volume Glamour Ultra Black, Bourjois Coup de Theatre & Barry M Wink Black.

Lips: Avon Glazewear Sparkle in shimmering Amethyst & Maxfactor Lipfinity lip tint in 03.

So First of all I applied the 17 Face Primer, this just gives a nice base and makes your foundation last, then I applied My Avon Foundation with My foundation brush then Locked in the foundation using Natural Collection Loose Powder with a blusher brush.

For the eyes I used the bottom left colour in my Clinique quad...

Then used the Barry M Wink to line My top lashes & wing out at the edges. ( I'm keeping the eyes low key as wearing a strong lipstick).
Then finish off with My Bourjois Volume Glamour Mascara then Bourjois Coup de Theatre on top to give a full lash look. I haven't used false lashes with this look because I think valentines is about your own beauty & you dont want Your Date or Your Boyfriend staring at your huge falsies!!

So to finish the look off I applied My Maybelline Mouse Blush to My cheeks, Followed By My Maxfactor Lip Tint & To give it a glossy finish put My Avon Glazewear on top.

I love this look with the bright lip (minus my white t-shirt obviously and with a pretty dress instead) it gives a glam look but it doesn't look too much because the eyes are kept low key.

Where are You off to this Valentines? And How are You going to be Wearing Your Makeup?? I'm not sure how to have My Makeup yet but this is One of My Options!

Me & My Boyfriend have been for lots of Valentines Meals, but because there is a film I want to see at the Cinema this year (This Means War) We are going to Hit the Cinema then Probably a bottle of Fizzy stuff with a Take Out ♥
At The end of the day Its the Company that Matters, and I do love Valentines Day BUT Why waste everything on 1day of the year when You should show Your love everyday & have treats together as often as you can.

Have a Lovely Valentines Whatever You are Doing ♥

Love Sarah xx
